More Asset Tagging

With the Covid-19 still holding us all in tight lock down. We have been busy Asset tagging everything that has not been done in the past.

Today we rattled through about 30 XLR 10m cables from hire stock.

this includes taking the female end of the cable off completely. Placing on length of thick wall adhesive lined heat shrink to the cable. Then a sticky back asset tag with barcode and a thin walled length of clear heat shrink over the top.

This is the most tried and tested method of tagging cables. Due to our cables doing all types of events. Weddings, festivals, corporate events. They need to both look smart and be able to handle any weather condition.

Light it up Blue for the NHS

As most will know the event’s industry has been one of the hardest hit in the Covid-19 crisis. We have found ourselves in a position we have never been known before.

All ready to go in to our busiest summer we would have ever known. Within one week we had all equipment back in from every show and now we are on standby until at least August.

With this we decided to go about lighting a few things blue in support of our fabulous NHS the true heros. Please see the pictures below. Get in contact if you feel any other local buildings or monuments would look nice blue.

We would also like to take this opportunity to remind we are very much still here to talk about future projects.

If you are organising a local event, Please consider using a local production company.

Stay safe.

Keeping busy during Covid-19

In these crazy times we are starting to get things done that have been on the to do list for a long time.

Today continuing with the 2 pallets worth of 16amp cable that has not been asset tagged.

Taking the plug off every cable and placing two lengths of heat shrink, a label then another clear length of heat shrink.

This will allow us to itemise each length of 16amp power cable on our hire system Current RMS.

once we have finished all the 16amp cabling there is around 2 miles of 32amp cable to do also.

Remember should you want to talk future events we are still very much here.

Stay safe.

D&B C7 Risers

One of our long standing clients Doreen Doreen’s Sound engineer Spider of whom is a regular user of our D&B Audiotechnik C7 sound system was concerned the stack setup they used didn’t quite get the mid high element high enough.

We instructed the cabinet builder next door to build us a 30cm riser the same dimensions as the C7 Subs. Putting the mid high box 30cm higher is the perfect height to get it above head height and project the mid high frequencies right to the back of the room.

Glastonbury Festival 2019

Our Jason Ashman was employed for the week of Glastonbury Festival as the House Front of house engineer for the late night dance music stage in the South East Corner “Genosys”

All weekend we kept within the noise limits, The crowd were loving the incredible quality from the Martin Audio MLA Compact system. I was personally blown away by the MLA Compact’s ability so change its beam shape in real time meaning we can essentially “Open up” areas mainly at the back of the field as the field gets busier. Plus it sounded incredible all weekend.

I would personally like to thank RG Jones for their constant support of the two system technicians that worked effortlessly all weekend ensuring the best quality sound possible.

Once the rain cleared on the Thursday night we had one of the hottest Glastonbury’s I have had since the early 2000’s Most importantly there was no interruption to showers in our backstage compound! Good work site crew :)
